Ideas for testimonial

Yikes! I just got a call from my surgeon. She asked if my husband and I would be willing to be in their next ad campaign and if I was willing to speak at a seminar tomorrow night to give my testimonial. I told her I would get back to her about the modeling gig (I'm not sure he will be into that much), but I agreed to talk at the seminar. So, I'm a planner and I don't have much time. What topics do you think I should hit in a 15 minute testimonial -- I want to make sure to hit the points that people need to know based on my experience. Here's my tentative outline - am I missing anything important?

-Pass around before/after pics of husband and self
-Talk about starting weight and where I am now
-Talk about my personal reasons for getting the surgery
-Talk about how eating has changed from Day 1 after surgery to now at 5 months.
-Talk about how my life has changed because of surgery, which will include NSV's and not so positive experiences like hair loss and skin.
-Talk about where I see our future in regards to changes due to weight loss

What else? Will you also remind me of some NSV's that you've experienced. I think that should be a good long list and seeing yours might remind me of my own.

Thanks! Wish me luck!

Sounds like you have about covered it.  I did have a lot of problems finding a protein drink a liked.  Leave a few minutes for Q&A.  Good luck!!!

I think you pretty much have it covered. I would stress that this is not the magic cure so many believe it is. I have had numerous friends asking me questions about surgery because of my success, but when I start giving them details, they are not interested because they don't want to make the changes necessary. They are actually shocked at how I count calories, carbs, protein, things I can't eat, and how much I work out. Most people think it will be easy after surgery.

Congrats on being asked to speak.
I think you have a good list so far.
Just let them know, that it is a tool and it only works as well as you use it.

What a great honor for you.  Congratulations.
I think the topics have pretty much been covered.

One of my best NSV is the confidence that I feel now.

Good luck, I'm sure you will do a great job.
