Summer is coming to an end and Son#2 goes back to school in a little over a week. [sigh]  He's had a good summer I think. The place where he worked and interned offered him a job when he gets through with school. I think he'll hold out for something a little better and further from home, but we'll see. He did some pretty cool designs that were approved by clients and bought. He'll have good pictures for his portfolio. It's funny I see signs posted for different businesses and such around town and know that they're his designs.

Anyway, I wanted to wish you all success today and scales showing whatever you want them to show. Keep after those vitamins, fluids and protein!

DD's started school yesterday. No empty nest yet. I'm sure I will blink my eyes and all of the sudden they will be off in college. My scale was good to me today! It's so hard to come to the realization that the excitement and fast losing are done, and I am fighting for each pound now. I hope everyone has a great day today!!

It is sad to see summer ending and school starting.
The leaves here are starting to fall already!
School starts the 24, and boy will it be quiet around here. Then I am back to work on the 30.
Back to the old grind! But atleast my boss was kind enough to let me come back on 4 eights,
instead of 2 twelves and an 8 hour shift.
Have a great day all!

Gina, it must be really cool to see his designs around town.

Yeah, being empty nesters is a definite change. We've been that way for 5 years now. And yes, it took some getting use to but it can be done and actually we kind of like it now. Both of ours are married and living in another state. We are really close to the younger, unfortunately not so close to the older but not by choice. The only children we have at home now are the four legged feline variety. And they are a handful.

Good Morning!

I can relate to the empty nest.  While Zach is 36 and moved out at 18, this summer was the longest he's been here since then.  It was a great summer and I just try to focus on how terrific it was to get so much of his time.  I do miss him just a little, particularly in the gym.  I know he spent so much time here just to help me this summer.  I'm a lucky mama!

My scale was kind this morning.  181.4 is my new low.  I'm really working hard to get down as low as possible before my September 2nd appointment.

I had bloodwork drawn last night.  Everything is holding except my Iron which went down from 75 at 3 months to 42 at 6 months.  Ferritin went from 193 to 137.  They say that with the Sleeve I don't need to supplement with Iron but I got the BA chocolate iron chews and will start taking them regularly.

Have a fun day everyone!

Hi Gina!  My son goes back to school the 30th, but he lives with me and goes to the local community college, so I'll see him anyway.  While that can be a good thing, he tends to get moody when he's under stress, and I don't like being around it - but, he likes being around me since he thinks I bring a level of "calm" to his world.  His dad is somewhat psycho and he can't stand being around him for any length of time, so its me... lol... that's ok.

I have started being much more diligent on getting my iron in.  I've ordered the BA calcium chews from Vitalady and am anxiously awaiting them.  I'm having a dickens of a time swallowing pills - even the Citracel Petities... I'm doing the best I can with them.

You must be very proud of your son - and seeing his work around town.  That's great.

My daughter had a job interview yesterday and it went well.  They were surprised to see an 8 month pregnant lady walk in for a Police Officer job - but oh well...Its part time and she's not sure what the hours will be.  The pay isn't very good, but its work.  Now she waits.  She has the right attitude about it though.

Congrats on your son's success!  It must be so rewarding after all I'm sure you have done to get him to this point.

I will be an empty nester in a couple of weeks. My son goes back for his 4th year of university and my daughter for her first.  I can cry just thinking about it!  I still find it hard every summer when my son goes back, I can't imagine letting go of my baby girl!  Yeah I know its for the best so I will suck it up, but  WWWWAAAAAAHHHHHH!
