Leaving for Vegas tomorrow!
In the 9 mths since surgery, I have done more in an effort to "live life" than I have done in the past 37 years! I am headed to Vegas tomorrow to meet up with two girlfriends that I was in the military with 16 years ago. We have not seen each other since then and we are flying in from opposite coasts of the country to meet up in Vegas. As an obese person I would never consider a trip like this--I would be way too embarassed of my size to see old friends. Now I treasure these moments.
Thanks for letting me share!!

WOW - very cool! It sounds like it will be a blast.
Amazing the things we'll get out and do now, that before we wouldn't have DREAMED doing because of our weight!
Have a great time!

Shammy, I'm so darn excited for you! I totally get what you mean about how much easier it is to do now after WLS. I recently did this with 3 of my best friends from grade school. We hadn't been together, the 4 of us since 1968 when we graduated HS. It was the best best best weekend! You go have fun and come back to tell us all about it please. :)

Have a great time! I have been to LV twice and loved it. For transportation, check out the 3-day bus passes. It saves a lot of money on cab fare and they run all the time. The Bellagio buffet is huge but they do have some good healthy choices, better than a lot of the others, though a bit pricey. Hope you have a BLAST!!
