2 Year Surgiversary!
I can't believe it has been 2 years already! Some of you may remeber me, but it has been a LOOOOONG time since I was here. Please check out my profile for my 2 year update.
I want to make myself available for your questions or concerns, and I will do the best I can to help you. I spent a great deal of time here before and right after my surgery, and that support was invaluable. I feel like I need to give back and I can think of no better way to do it.
Please feel free to contact me here or at my personal email: [email protected]

Hi, I read your BLOG, great story and well written !! I hope some day you will be able to publi**** Congrats on 2 yrs and maintaining!! I am only 3 1/2 months out, and have been in a stall for about 3 wks...discouraging, did you ever stall?? Well, hope you stick around on the board, we always need somebody that's been there done that...
I got stuck after I had the baby, but that was because I was not exercising or carefully watching my calories. Once I started exercising regularly and documenting everything I ate, the weight steadily started coming off again.
A stall at about 3-4 months is normal because your body is "catching up". Initially, with the restrictive diet, the weight literally falls off. Then there is a point where you start eating more, and weight loss happens at more of a normal rate. DO NOT attempt to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week once you loss rate slows down, you will only shoot yourself in the foot. I tried to "force" faster weight loss by cutting my calories way too low, sending my body into starvation mode. Once I INCREASED my calories, I started losing weight again. I know how it feels to want it all off now, but I have found that the slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off!
Hang in there and just keep doing the right things: eating nutritious food, drinking lots of fluids, taking your vitamins, and exercising. Before you know it, you will be at your goal weight!

Wow Jeanine I cant IMAGINE trying to do his pregnant or how that must have felt as U were waiting for the baby ... the uncertainty of whether the surgery would work AFTER pregnancy .
Uve done AMAZINGLY well ....
please come back in here and keep posting ....maintenance isnt easy for many of us , even getting to goal isnt with all our excess fat cells still hampering us ... doimg their level best to create cravings and hold us back from losing ....
What particularly impresses me is that U come from the kind of heavy , chunky apple type of bodytype as mine ..... which I KNOW from personal experience is EXTREMELY hard to lose completetly .... yet U have done exactly that .. and KEPT it off !! U go GRRLFRIEND!!!
