I cant believe my weight

I have been BUSTING MY ASS to lose weight !!  and yes i am PISSED that its not working .....

I have so much STUFF ( ie renumerative Business)  to do today that i neglected all last week just to get THINNER ( which hardly worked ) ....and now i get on the scale and im twelve pounds heavier since FRiday ?!!   with daily workouts and absent a single fatty meal?!!!

yikes

the WORST thing i did this weekend was have a coupla diet cokes and scotches .... Im sorry but thats not twelve lbs... nor is it a habit . I also got up and EXERCISED  every darn day ....and didnt eat in restaurants at all . So what the HECK ?!!

Theres a big part of me that feels if the REST of my life is going to be like the first half .. I dont want it . My body was careening wildly out of control ... getting unhealthier and uglier every day ....and I am frankly SICK of living in it and struggling futilely .   I know i sound ungrateful...and many people would gie their right arm to be "stuck " at this weight  and fundamentally pain free and healthy .

Right now ... allI care about is how PISSED and disappointed I am.  I spent the weekend talking about all the programs I wanted to do and how to get sponsorship and get pilots made ... and now THIS - this indisputable, unignorable  MONKEYWRENCH .....!!!

Im gonna get a big gun and SHOOT MY FAT  yeah .....    im gonna go East Texas tower on its lumpy AZZ ....GRRRRRR .   Don't let some lil pissant try to compete with me on my rollerblades today .... LOL.

I think you need to go buy a new, quality scale. You have mentioned that yours is old and maybe completely inaccurate. Also, for the past two days I was up a pound (knowing my calories, etc. were well within my losing range). I have always had a problem retaining water if I eat something higher sodium, or at certain times of the month. I really pushed my water yesterday and I am back to 118 today. I have read many studies that say when you work out harder your muscles hold in water to help them heal after hard workouts, if you have been doing this on a regular basis, maybe you are retaining tons of water? There is no way that you gained that many "real" pounds. It takes 3500 calories to gain 1 pound, I'm quite sure you didn't eat the 42,000 calories above what you burned with exercise that it would take to gain 12 pounds!

Ava, my first thought was that darn scale of yours too.  You have talked about that scale for months now.  Go invest in a new one and then use whatever weight it puts you at.  Is there a doctor's type scale at a gym you can use?

Shannon is right, you didn't gain 12 pounds, but I can only imagine how frustrated you are.  I go a littel bonkers when the scale goes up a few ounces at this stage, but I'm in the "I should be shedding pounds like rainwater" stage.

Awww - (((HUGS)))  I know the frustration of weight fluctuation well.  I haven't had it be 12 lbs, but 4-5.

I agree - maybe you need a new scale.

Ava,

How are your clothes fitting?  If they are ok - maybe you need to throw the scale out the window and just measure by your clothes.  The scale should not upset you like this.  You have been very successful.

It is probably water or a faulty scale.  You know you did not eat or drink enough to gain 12 pounds - that would be a lot of food!!

Hang in there Ava.

Take a deep breath and try to relax.
You are putting too much stress on yourself regarding a number.
There is no way you could have gained that much over the weekend.
Think logically and it doesnt add up.
I think you need a new scale and the question about how your clothes are fitting would be a better gauge of how your weight really is.
Please be kind to yourself.
