When I see you on Sat., I'll give you some tips for going downhill with less pain.
As for the scale, it's not that accurate and also it generally takes about two days for what we do to ourselves to show up. (But some foods can take as long as 3 days.) So you may see a drop tomorrow instead.

Lee,
I obsess over the scale too (like weighing multiple times a day, knowing if I weigh the same before I go to bed as I did in the morning, I will be down a pound the following morning, it's insane). BUT, I have started to really look at things differently. I still want to get to goal and beyond, but if I never do, I am very happy with myself. I am working out hard, eating healthy, building muscle and burning fat. The things you are doing would have never been possible before your weight loss. I would have never been able to run before surgery. You are making leaps and bounds health-wise, even if that damn scale isn't leaping and bounding with you!

Shannon,
Isn't this all just so amazing? Look at you getting ready for nursing school. Figuring out how to make it all work for you.
In the gym yesterday, I was looking in the mirror. I told Zach that if I didn't lose another pound, I knew that I was the healthiest I've been in over 30 years. That said, I weigh twice a day and know the scale is going to continue going down. Who knows, maybe I'll have less hanging skin as a result of going slower. I'm trusting my body to be smart enough to know what's right for me. I really wanted to be at goal on my 60th birthday in October which clearly isn't going to happen, but I'm really just fine with it. I'll get there and then there will be much to celebrate.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me!
