Fitness Challenge - August 14th
What's on the fitness agenda babeeeeeeeees?
My plan for the day is an outing to Pt. Reyes National Park for an 8.2 mile hike. It takes around 1.5 hours to get to the park but it's a beautiful drive.
For the hike, half way through the redwood trails, it ends on Arch Rock overlooking the tumultuous ocean. It's too far down to the water so most people just sit on the rock to rest. I haven't done this hike in many years but it was a goal of mine for this summer so I'm going to give it a try. Zach leaves on Monday morning so he'll do it with me. The park handbook says to figure walking 2 miles an hour because of the hills and uneven terain. I remember that it used to be an all overnoon adventure. Hike out, have lunch and rest, hike back. I'm very excited to see how all of this summer exercise has strengthened my heart, lungs, stamina etc.

Not even going to try to keep up with you! lol I untangled 3 long dog leads, which required me to stand on my head for about 20 minutes and wave my arms about.

I played with the Wii Fit, put up 2 gallons of tomatoes and picked peppers but haven't gotten them put up yet. Along with feeding the horses and cleaning the barn, which is an every day, 2x a day task.
That sounds like a beautiful hike. I know you enjoyed it.

Wow Lee! I'll bow to you You are da woman!!! I walked a measely 30 minutes today. Im getting bored with my walking/lifting weights routine. I would LOVE to try a zumba class but am worried I'll make a fool of myself lol We are going camping this Thursday, staying til Sunday afternoon. I plan on doing some hiking. Have a great evening!
