I thought I was gonna DIE Tuesday

I had back spasms so bad I was almost in tears. I haven't had them this bad since just after my back surgery in Mar 2006. I told my husband I don't know what was wrong.

Now, to be fair, I am not currently on my celebrex because we hit the donut hole in my drug plan and we simply can not afford the $400 it costs for me to refil it this month. So we have to wait til the first of Sept for me to order it. Dang but it sucks pond water to be on a fixed income and to be on Medicare. And to order it thru my husband's drug plan takes too many hoops to get thru. Have to have a doctor's preapproval and the medical plan doesn't want to fill it even then. Easier to just keep it on my Medicare plan and deal with the donut hole.

Yesterday I was still spasming but not as bad...today it's much better.

But I honestly thought I was gonna die on Tues.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I don't know of anything that hurts worse than a bad back.

Well, I hope your pain doesn't come back like that again. Back pain is the worst.

I'm certainly glad ya didn't die and that things have eased up some. Prescription coverage can be harsh and you probably handle it better than I would. Hope the pain stays away.

Thanks, ladies, and it just reinforced my decision that I made the correct decision for my wls. I truly need my celebrex and I can't take the celebrex with a RNY and the sleeve isn't available to me yet. So going for the DS makes the most sense.

Don't die lol. I know how you feel being too broke to afford medications sometimes. It's horrible. Hopefully things will turn around soon!

Anyway you could call your dr. office to see if they have samples to get you through the next two weeks? My dad has great luck with his cariologist and free meds...

Hope you are feeling better!!!
