Have I told U guys how wonderful U are lately ?
It was SUCH a pleasure to discover people who knew more than ME ( and ive been studying - ie trying to control my ever expanding girth my whole life ) about nutrition and supplementation here .... and Ive learned SO MUCH ...
not to mention .. the wonderful support and friendship .....
its really so amazing to try new things and not be endlessly frustrated at never losing .
Ok its a given that the surgeries never work PERFECTLY ....people either lose too little or too much and we have to tweak . Its great that we help each other find the right path for our individual bodies and temperaments without judgment or even worse calling each other names like elsewhere .
OBVIOUSLY when we eat the wrong thing ( or too much of the right thing ) its because we have a craving ..either physical or emotional or spiritual ..... and the liteweights board is a safe place where we can lay our actions and reactions to those actions on the table and dissect them together so hopefully we can ratchet down the compulsive overeating beastie .....
Anyway I just wanted to tell U all how grateful I am that Ure in my life and how much I value Ur feedback and posts !! Big hugs !! Ava

We all need a safe haven...one we can call home. One where our actions are not used against us. And we all try to do that here.

I think you demonstrate a lot of patience with us too. Many of us are low carbers, yet you work to be another voice here, giving folks an alternative and new things to think about. I have taken things you've said and put them into my plan. Your suggestions of fresh organically grown veggies for example. I may never go no fat but I do get good things from your posts.

Ava, I completely agree with you. I get most of my "information" here on the LW board. I have a lot of trust in the people who have experienced the ups and downs of surgery. While all of us may not always agree, at least we have "food for thought". Without the LW's, I probably would never have had protein shakes. My weight loss is different than many, but nobody has ever accused me of not doing something correctly. I think we all hold a respect for the different surgeries and paths towards renewed health, but physically and emotionally.
I'm so thrilled to be part of this forum and happy to share this journey with you.
