Silly RNY question...
Is it normal to be sweating like a smelly gym rat at this point? I am sitting here with my thermostat sitting on 70 and sweating like crazy. I am pretty sure I read that it would happen but in my pain med haze I can't remember.
P.S. Pretty sure the hormones that are most likely coming out might be making the male dog act like the whiney fruitcake.

for the first 2-3 weeks post surgery- I sweated often and it sometimes smelled "metalic" Dr said it was ta combo of he meds working their way out of my system. and the body having gone through a shock.. normal.
Soon, however, you will be cold!!! your metaobilsm will change and you will find that you carry a sweater or shawl in the car, in your bag just to have in case!!!

I was trying to think if I knew anyone at Campbell and I haven't thought of anyone. I'll ask some gals I'm seeing tonight to see if anyone has someone there with you.

YES!! I sweated like crazy after my RNY. Pain meds can also cause sweating. I am currently on tylenol with codene and I sweat like crazy not long after taking it. I am ready to transfer over to regular tylenol to get over these sweating fits. Since my RNY I have gone from a hot hormonal women with tank tops and constantly fanning myself to being cold natured and having to layer everywhere I go. You will change alot over the next year. Once your hormones level off the sweating will stop but I do remember feeling exactly like you have said. My dog was a little nutty at that time but I thought it was because I had left her at the sitters for a week. Good luck and remember this too shall pass.
I just remember reading that pretty quick in the process our body starts having the excess estrogen and I'm thinking it can be present in sweat so it would make sense that it would cause issues with an unaltered male dog.
I am trying to switch over to Tylenol now that I have my daughter back and use the oxycodone at bedtime since it makes me so drowsy. Right now the incisions have the burning sensation and I will admit I am beyond ready to feel a little more human. Hopefully between the B12 and working on getting my protein in through liquids as much as possible it'll happen in the near future.
I think the kiddo is cutting her first couple teeth(yes, at almost 10 months she's still toofer free) which could have waited but we'll make it.
