It's a whole new day!
Day 4 and I feel for the most part like a brand new person! I passed so much gas in the wee hours of the morning that I almost wanted to throw a party for my gut's relief! A few farts make a major difference in the world post-op. About the only pain left is the stiffness/soreness and it is more of a burning sensation now which tells me things are healing because my c-section went through the same phase. Still getting "full" or what my body is telling me is the stopping point at about 1 tbsp and then have to wait about 30 minutes to do the other tbsp so that I get to the 2tbsp our plan requires.
I tried doing a walk outside last night and made it up the sidewalk to the end of the block before my body told me the humidity is just too much at this point in recovery but I can walk around my house quite well and have been.
I did do the tears last night when I was frustrated wondering what I had gotten myself into when I felt overwhelmed but today I remember exactly why I did this.

I'm definitely a napper at this point. The oxycodone does not give me much of a choice because it makes my vision kinda double and cross I get so drowsy and that is even with the smallest dose. I am working to alternate between the oxy and Tylenol becuase I definitely am not a big fan of narcotics. My goal is to be off the oxycodone by 7-10 days out but I am going to listen to my body and not try to be superwoman either.
At this point the pros are already outweighing the cons.

Hi Cort,
So happy to read that today is better! I had to laugh about the farting. I had my Sleeve done during the Olympics. My son came home for three days to pamper me. I remember that we coined my farting an Olympic event and awarded my progress with many cheers. :)

Glad to hear that today is better. Get used to the gas...it's a part of life after WLS....LOL I always have Gas-X with me. Walking definitely helps too.
1 TBS sounds about right for a few days out. The most important things are rest and liquids at this point.
