Do "lightweights" loose slower?
I stalled at 3 months...textbook...but kept going and excercising regularly and lo and behold in one week four pounds fell off...I am now at 17 weeks and 50 pounds down and there you go...I started at 210 and am now 160...yay....at 5'8" i'm happy but will keep losing until my doc and I agree we're where I need to be....you will lose and lose if you just continue being consistent with your food and work outs...we are dieting and for the first time we WILL be succesful...you just have to have faith in this process...but it does require sacrifice and not snacking and doing the work ...when you get down in the lower numbers you will lose fewer pounds than bigger person but percentage wise not..and each pound will make such a difference!...Keep it up....you're doing great...SEAVIEW
Congratulations on your progress! I've noticed that my body has certain set-points that it has trouble getting past. Don't lose hope, your body has been through a lot and it takes a while to adjust.
I stalled about 3 months out and stayed stalled for weeks. I'm now a little over 5 months out and have hit another brick wall. I really wonder if stress plays a big part in this? I've noticed that when the stress-levels get extreme, I seem to stop losing weight. I continue to lose inches, but not weight. Has anyone else run into this?

I'm 5' and 212. I haven't been below 200 is many years and every time I diet, I get to there and stall. I'm hoping 4 weeks of Optifast, then surgery will get me past that hump quickly. My next stall will be around 180 I imagine. My body seems to like that number also. I'm so ready to get on with this.
