Goal pictures!
Wow. You look taller in your pics. I'm 5'9", and was thinking that I might have to lower my goal after seeing how good you look. I think some where around 165 or so is good for me since I'm pretty tall and 50 years old. My surgeon's goal for me is 180, but I know that I'm going to work hard to get to a "normal" BMI, which is around 168. You sure look great. Congratulations.
There isn't any reason why you can't hit a normal BMI - I'm 51, and my BMI is 22.5%. I'm sitting in the middle.... I'm 5'3", so while I'm shorter, that just means my actual weight is lower. Adjust your weight for your height to fall in the middle of your BMI - and its very doable!!
My inital goal (for myself) was 150 - you just never know.....

Thanks, Jody. I guess I'm just discouraged because getting every pound off so far has become a massive effort. I'm not giving up, though. I fully intend to make this work. I was a lightweight for my original surgery, and this time, I'm a revision. My surgeon told me upfront that I'd lose slowly being a revision, which makes sense because I gave up all the bad stuff years ago after my first surgery. I'm also ten years older than my first go-round.
You look wonderful...down right skinny!! Very inspiring. Way to go!

Mary you look absolutely fabulous!! I don't know if you remember me? We met at Cornerstone Hospital, I'd had a VSG with Dr. Joya and you were just a few days out of having your RNY. Anyhow I had to comment on your recent pics and weight loss success. Good job! I can only hope I work my tool as well as you have yours.
