Okay, question I get up at 4:30 every morning and take my vitamins at 5:00am have to be at work at 6:30. Is 6:30 too early to drink coffee? I think I remember someone saying that the coffee breaks down the vitamins if you drink it too early or was it reglaur coffee, can't remember.

Thanks,
Etoria

Etoria, I take my vitamins with my coffee in the mornings. I only drink decaf. I had my 6 month blood work done, and everything came back normal. So basically it's working for me. Although I do take my Calcium Citrate two hours later.  Hope this helps, Diane

I drink decaf every morning... a big cup of it too.  I take my vitamins first, then drink it.  I haven't had any issus with it.  My labs are god.

Perhaps you heard that caffeine (in coffee) leaches calcium from your bones, and that's a reason why you shouldn't drink it?  Caffeine is also very hard on your pouch - I will drink a caffeinated coffee once in awhile, but not on a regular basis.

I always take my vitamins after I eat. I think that's what it says on the bottle. I take the calcium with coffee and then later.

caffeine and dairy cancel IRON if taken together.

As long as you take your iron later, you're good.

The tannins in coffee - decaf or caf - can bind with your vitamins and interfere with absorption. It's best not to drink coffee or tea for an hour before and after your vitamins.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all. PlicketyCat that is what I had heard and it make since. So I do take them a least 1 1/2 hours before I eat or drink coffee. For everyone else I am happy that your labs came back good and thank you for your response. I will keep all of this in mind. I do only drink decaf and that is my biggest concern is that I did not want anything to cancel my vitamins out and wanted them to absorb right.

Thanks again, you all have been of great help.
