Just exercising bragging rights...and thanking our Maker.  First of all, I thank God for leading me towards Obesity Help and WLS, and the successes He has made possible for me.  Secondly, I'd like to share some WOWs:  Pre-op - 1) discovering an unbiased doctor who didn't make me feel like an odd ball even though I'm a light-weight but needed WLS,  2) discovering that there is a surgery (DS) that fit my requirements / not the other way around, 3)  that my insurance covered all WLSs for 35BMI with comorbidities,  4)  from WLS decision to surgery took about 2 months,  5) surgery done lap so I was out of the hospital the day after surgery with no complications.  Post-op - 1)  continue with no complications,  2) no bathroom or gas issues (even less than pre-op),  3) sleep apnea already gone,  4)  high blood pressure gone,  5) pain in my feet and legs gone,  6)  pain in my back is less,  7) lost 30 pounds in 50 days,  8) gone down 2 sizes in clothes,  9) can cross my legs,  10) can bend over to tie my shoes,  11) don't get winded when I climb the stairs or walk up hill,  12) can easily take my wedding rings off to clean them,  13) people I don't even know look me in the eye, smile, and say hello,  14) meeting or talking in person to people from the OH boards who are helping me along this journey.  I wish everyone on the Light-Weight Board success and happiness. wow, it sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for!  It sounds like you should do a commerical for WLS!  :)   Way to go, and I hope things continue to go smoothly for you!

Thanks, "Crispi".  I think I'm the exception not the rule.  Most people have a real struggle jumping through the hoops to get WLS  paid for by insurance and done without any complications or unexpected side affects afterwards. Yesterday was one of those days I just needed to count my blessings and say thanks; you know?  Gina

Hi GinaD.  I'm glad you're still hanging in there, but I'm sorry to know you're struggling with ulcers.  Are you pretty confident they will be cleared up by the next test? I hope so. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Gina

We shall see, He upped my Nexium to twice a day and I have been trying to be good, No eating after 7, trying to cut down on my coffee, So I sure hope so, He said my insides look like someone took a meat grinder to them, At my follow up apt I asked him if he was saying he won't clear me at all or will he clear me if my ulcers clear up, He said he is most concerned with the ones in my stomach and duaduem (sp) he said if he oked the bypass while I had them he couldn't keep an eye on them, But that cause of the acid reflux disease I would definately benefit for the surgery......so I will keep my fingers crossed, gina
