Surgery in 6...........

Hey everyone my surgery is in 6 days. I am feeling very afraid and nervous as my day approach.Does anyone feel the same?.....paulene...

Paulene, It is very normal to feel very nervous and afraid before this surgery. It does have risks. I guess the way I got through it is I knew I had about a 30 percent chance of having surgical complications and a 2 percent chance of death from the surgery, but, I was certain I had a 100 percent chance of my health declining if I didn't have the surgery, so I went ahead with it. I weighed 384 lbs and was having very serious problems with my mobility. Arthritis made is painful to walk. Now, I'm almost 8 months out and have lost 123.5 lbs. I really feel I have a new lease on life! By the way, I had no complications! Hang in there! Lori 384/260.5/168
