first time on board.......

Hey everbody this is my first time on this board .i am 45 years old and i have 2 kids 17 and 22.my surgery is jan 23 2006.I would like everyone to pray for me and i will be praying for you also..............paulene

Hi Paulene, This WLS in your 40's messageboard doesn't seem to have too much activity, but want to welcome you any way. What is your starting BMI? I started at 54, I'm now 39! Woohoo! I had my surgery on May 23, 2005 and I've lost 120.5 lbs. I still have 95 to get to goal, but, feel like it is possible! There are many active boards here on Obesity Help, so don't give up! Hi Paulene !! I've only been here a time or two, so I'm pretty new myself !! I'm a 46 year young mother of 1...he's 25 now, and I'm also taking care of my granddaughter who is 6 going on 30 lol!! Congrats on your surgery date, I will keep you in my prayers. As for myself..... I have to wait 6 months b4 I can have mine....I have to be smoke free for that long b4 my doctor will do it. So, now I'm fighting the smoke cravings....fun fun !! LOL !! Take Care, Lori

Welcome Paulene, I am new to the 40s board but not to the age...I am 46. My rebirth comes February 13, 2006. I have a 28 yr old son and a 5 yr old grand daughter. I wish you a safe & uneventful surgery as you begin your weighloss journey!
