new to board
Hi, I am new to this board so I thought I would say Hi. I am 42 with two kids, girl 17 and a boy 18. At the age where mom dont know nothing. I live with my boyfriend of 4 years. And yes like most men he is a pain in my behind. but I love him anyway. I own my own trailer but I rent it why not make some money to help with the expenses of it although renting is not the money making ideal that most people think it is. By the time you fix what is broken and pay the expenses of the home when empty you dont make anything.Anyway I am waiting for insurance approval and hopefully I will be on my way. bye Marie
Hi Marie,
I am a single, mom, 46 live in Ohio, where the snow is falling at an alarming rate this morning ! I should get a snow day along with my kid! I have 1 teenager left at home, I'm at an age I don't know nothing either.. or should I say, HE is at an age that THINKS MOM don't know anything. I was just a year post-op a few weeks ago, -173 lbs from my highest weight! WOOOYEAH!
Good Luck on the insurance approval! and
Happy Holidays!

Hi Marie, welcome to the 40's board. Hope you get a quick insurance approval and surgery date.
I'm 41, have two boys, ages 6 and 4 (yes I'm for having kids at an older age) and had WLS on 2/21/05. I started at 260 lbs at my January 14th consultation, morning of surgery weighed 239 and I made my surgeon's goal 4 days before my 9 month anniversay. WLS is a magnificant thing. I have absolutely no regrets.
For once in our lives, I and many others have the tool necessary to help us. If you go into this with a positive attitude and listen to your surgeon and his post-op eating protocol, I have no doubt you to will experience an amazing journey.
Best wishes,
Dana
