I finally made goal!!
I've posted a couple of times because I have been so frustrated trying to lose 10% of my weight before surgery. This is a Kaiser requirement. My surgeon gave me the goal on July 25 and it's taken me a full 4 months to lose 28#. But I finally did it!! I went in this morning and was given a 'pre surgery training class' date of December 1, and a meeting with the case manager on December 7. I will be given a surgery date at that meeting, provided I am still at goal or lower (no gaining allowed 
). They say the normal lead time is 3 weeks, which puts me at surgery sometime between Christmas and New Year's - I'll probably do it in 2006 (is January 2 too soon??) so I can apply my copayment to my 2006 FSA - this year's is already spent.
I still haven't figured out to do the diary thing here on OH - se la vi.
I guess I will be able to make a New Year's resolution for 2006 to lose weight and have it actually happen!!
