What sites are good for the over forty set?  I'm looking for young active forties & fifties.  Not over the hill forties or spritely young at heart seniors.  (Unless they are rich of course .)

I hate to say it but I have tried a lot of on line dating sites. Plentyoffish.com is a free dating site. Right now I am Eharmony no luck so far it has been 2 months. And it runs about $44 a month. I would be better off taking the money and going out. There is Cheaters.com it is a run off from the show Cheaters. I met a lot of nuts on the site. I would not try that one again. There are so many sites out there. Not sure that one site is better then another one. It is like playing the lottery. Sometimes you pull and winning ticket but most times you buy a loser. Wish I could of been more help. If you find a site that works please let me know. Good luck.

I tried pof, looser city so far.  I've hidden my profile.

I tried eharmony years ago but I was never impressed by the matches.  Even their so called analysis of me was well off the mark.  I never paid, it was just a  free trial experiment.

After six plus years I decided to try this experiment again.  Online dating looks just as bad as it did back then.

I would have to say you will be better served to do a face to face/speeddating kind of deal.

Online dating has proven to be a dud for me.  I've tried POF, Match.com, Chemistry.com, E-Harmony.. it's all the SAME people on there.

Get out there, smile pretty and you will likely have better luck.

I am inclined to agree with you.  I'm always out there in the real world.  Just haven't found the next Mr RightNow yet.

I'm on no great man hunting mission.  The goal is to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.   Meeting for just one cup of coffee accomplishes my mission.

I'm still out there with some prospects but no one I'm really into on either front.  Good thing I'm happy to be single, lol.

I know this is an older post but here is my 25 cents worth of info lol.
When doing any kind of on line dating/newspaper ad dating etc.. please be careful!!

I was one of those people a number of years back to try all of it. I had a safe call set up, only met them in public (where others were around). Take all the safe steps needed to ensure your safety.

I got lucky a couple of times and when a date was not what I wanted the babysitter would call and I would need to leave LOL. Anyways out of all that I got my catch and have been happy for 10 plus yrs with my man of Internet dating.

Always put your safety first .
Happy New Year.

This board is so slow there is no such thing as an old post.

I agree 100% on the saftey issue.  No one knows my real name or even my last name.  I have a separate phone number for "strangers".  My motto is like the X-Files: Trust No One.

Public places only.  Always take your own car.  Thanks for your two cents.
