Hi, Welcome to OH.   Check out lots of forums, information in everywhere.  I am still pre-op, waiting for RNY.  Do lots of research before making your decision.

I wish I had known not to buy new workout shoes before surgery.  My feet shrank afterwards and I had to buy new ones.

Good one! I have heard other people talk about their feet got smaller.
How long ago did you have your surgery? Was it a success?

I am almost 3 months out.  I have lost going on 70 lbs so far... My feet shrank the first week....  If you are going to have it, best wishes to you...  and yes, I would do it again...

Wonderful, that's great!
I'm still deciding on the surgery. I haven't had my consultation yet, so after that we'll see.
Keep up the good work (as I have read, it's work to it)!

I had my surgery 3 months ago (RNY).  I have lost 53 pounds since and had lost 42 right before it.  I am down 96 pounds from this time last year.  The one thing I wished I had know was that the cravings did not go away and I still fight them everday.  One surgery doesn't change 49 years of bad habits.  If you have strong food cravings before surgery there is a good chance you will still have them afterwards.  Of course the good thing is that after the surgery you can't binge or you will get sick and if you eat to much, to fast, you will get sick.  Those are the safety tools that help keep you on track.  Good Luck with your research.  I can honestly say I'd do it again in a heart beat no matter what I've run into since my surgery.
