New to the forum and WLS

Hi, I haven't had my surgery yet, I am waiting for approval to receive the Lap Band.  I have finished all the required testing and such. 
  I am an instant gratification type of person, which is what led me to be overweight in the first place.  Now is my time to practice patience and planning. 
  Are there any of you who have received the Lap Band already and are willing to share your experience?

I haven't had surgery yet either.  I have my consulation appt but that is it.  Just FYI there is a surgical forum just for lap band.  You may find more info there.
