Hello and New to this Forum
I just came across this Forum and thought I would say Hi..
My name is Lisa and Im 40yrs old.....wife and mom to 2..
Im an RN by profession, but disabled at present....hoping to change that..
I had WLS March 17. I went to Mexico and got the VSG. It was one of the best things Ive done for me. I havent had too many probles really....just still getting used to it all...the changes, etc..
So, far, Ive lost 49 lbs... so Im really happy with that..
anyway...I hope to get to talk to some of u...

yes, my PCP does all of my checkups...thankfully, with the VSG, theres not much followup...just the basic stuff that I would have anyway...
however, with my other comorbs, I have to get labs every 6 mo at the least..
i look at my weight loss in bags of flour for some reason...ive lost 10 bags, almost

Congratulation!!! Glad to have you join us "40's" I'm at about the same weightloss # you are. (don't pay attention to my ticker I only update that when I go see Dr. Rashid and I had to skip last month) It feels so amazing. I can't believe it some days. I had a goal to be down 50 pounds by a family reunion in July and at this rate I may be down 60! I've never been able to lose weight like this, let alone feel great while I'm doing it.
I go to my PCP next week and I'm hoping for a reduction in my blood pressure med. I'm already off everything but synthroid and bp med. It's so fun to step on the scales and see them go down...also a totally new experience for me :D
