WAY OT Blackberry Pearl
Hi...I was looking for some personal info on the Blackberry Pearl....I have a Sidekick three right now but its abit clunky. The pearl is abit more streamlined.
I love all the things that come with my sidekick....web..mail...texting...
Does anyone have any info or thoughts they can share?
Thanks everyone!

Current Weight 135 and making it work for ME !
One look at you, and... Well, I have some thoughts, but it they wouldn't bear repeating here. I am after all a gentleman. Suffice it to say that you’re breathtaking lovely, and one can only look on with envy and your lucky husband. Congratulations on your success.
Back to regular scheduled programming and your question. I confess I don't have much experience with the pearl, but this last Sunday a good friend and I took some time and we did a side by side comparison at a family gathering to his newly acquired Pearl which he raved about with an iPhone I have been testing recently. Additionally, I should disclose I'm a fan of Apple INC, a stock holder and ditched PCs a number of years ago in favor of the platform. My friend has no interest in Apple other than his kids and his wife own iPods and like them. I was as curious about his Pearl as he was in the iPhone. I'm a gadget guy, and at first blush, thought the Pearl looked quite sexy, not unlike the recently released Prada. The Pearl was perfectly functional and did what it purported to do fine, not unlike many smart phones in it's class but in, this, it's sexier form factor. Having said the above, my friend was completely BLOW AWAY by the iPhone. He's not the first doubting Thomas or Thomisina to display such a visceral satisfaction and delight with the iPhone. And I've only been testing it a few weeks. It's really a breakthrough device without peer. He cannot wait to dump the Pearl and it's service provider to get his hands on one. He left stating he is even willing to pay the nearly $200 penalty to get out of his providers contract early. And this guy is a savvy, somewhat stuffy business type not given to whimsy, or the latest fads. "What are the big advantages?" Really too numerous to mention and you really just have to spend a little time using one to appreciate what a breakthrough this device is. If your interested take a look at the link below as they have several little clips to demo it's feature set. http://www.apple.com/iphone/ Let me know what you think, if you're so inclined. Rock

OK, now I am really, really jealous!!! Your husband hires out fishing for Walleye's, Northerns and Muskies? Damn!!!
Never had the supreme pleasure of catching a Muskie, but I can say definitively there is no better eating on earth than a well prepared Walleye, or Northern.
Shessh... I'm hungry now. Where's the nearest freshwater fish monger?
Rock
iPhone is cool BUT if you use it for work and connect to your company server BE VERY CAREFUL. NOT a good idea. Like all Apple products if you wait for version 2 or 3 you'll far more feature, more stable machine for cheaper.
As far as comparing the Pearl to SKII. If you do a ton texting you'll be happier with the SkII if its for primarily for email go with the Pearl.
You may also want to look at the Verizon Samsung u740 the best of both worlds. Razr size phone with a full qwerty keyboard and flip up screed similar to the SkII. ONLY if you have good Verizon coverage in your area. W/O coverage who cares how good it is, it won't work.
