I want to let you know I am still alive and kicking. As most of you know I met with the surgeon last Monday in Park Rapids and man oh man I am impressed. It is the same Dr. and hospital that did my wife's RNY two years ago, but things have changed a bit, for the better. I met with Sandy Jones NP and Dr. Smith the surgeon and they said that I am a perfect candidate for surgery and that the RNY will manage my co-morbidities perfectly. I weighed in with a BMI of 37 and as soon as my insurance gives approval (Dr. can't imagine they wont) I can set my date, I am shooting for end of May early June (after School is out). I spent last week in Minneapolis at a software training seminar (what a way to spend spring break). I am so pumped to get healthy and fit. My 7 year old twins wrestled this weekend in two tournaments and dad is a bit out of shape and can't wait to help coach and train.

Congrats Brian!!!!!  My name is John I dont post alot but i do lurk from time to time i was really glad to see that you are taking steps to get the surgery you will be very pleased witgh the results i had mine july 2006 and have loved it i have gotten down to smaller than i was in Highschool. and i dont have energy issues at all . Most of my health issues went away and i feel reall great. have a great day and congrats on your good Dr experience. John
