16 months post op with constant stomach cramps

I am 16 months post op, I am having constant stomach cramping, like twisting pains. Somtimes it burns dead center of my stomach and then it cramps horribly on my left side. It happens when I drink, eat and even when I don't. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance, Trisha

Wow, I don't know what to say. That's how I feel if I am in the beginnings of constipation which has been a problem in my second year post op. Call your surgeon's office and talk to the nurse for some advice. Keep an eye on your fluids and note any changes in bm's or lack of too. Hope you feel better soon. Theresa

I had very similar feelings. Ended up being an ulcer/acid reflux. We don't get traditional heartburn after RNY. Over the counter zantac fixed everything for me. Good luck! Bonnie lap rny 6/3/05 264/164/149

I had this for a few months and still now on and off; they determined in the beginning when it was excruciating pain that it is partial bowel obstruction, but now I just have on and off again problems with intestinal adhesions. I am also 16 months post op too; any problems with liver function level being highly elevated? I just got some back that were really high.
