Hi Candi, My friend had the surgery the same day I did and she was having the pain and nausea u are describing. You should call your surgeon, your opening, not sure what it is called, might be closing on ya, they might need to run a scope and reopen the opening. Take care and good luck Colleen

CALL YOUR SURGEON!!!!! Could be a stricture, which is easily fixable by an edoscopy and is common post-op. Or it could be the foods you are eating. How far out are you? I know the first 2-3 months, what was fine yesterday gave me problems the next day, so it was confusing as to what worked and what didn't. I would get that feeling if I didn't chew good enough or if I was eating a dense meat. But I would totally call your surgeon - even if it's the weekend. They are ALWAYS on call and will call you back within an hour or less of you calling them. When you do throw things back up, try doing liquids for the next 24 hours to calm your epigastric system down and not agitate it. Also drink SMAR****ER to replenish the electrolytes and such because throwing up - even just a little - dehydrates us even though we don't feel it. I hope you get to feeling better soon and that food stays down. But it sounds to me like a classic stricture which is fixable and common post-op. Trisha -98 lbs

Hi Candi~ When I had that kind of pain, it was because of what I was eating. My surgeon told me NOT to drink anything because it would make it worse, but I'm only 7wks out. I would definitely check with your surgeon. I hate to hear about your cervical cancer. I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep me updated... [email protected] God Bless, ~Amy
