Support?

Oct 27th is when I have my surgery. I am nervous and excited all rolled into one. I have been reading and replying and adding some people because I just love hearing that others are like me and know what I am going thru and can relate. I hope to make some friends on here that can answer questions for me and vice versa. Please tell me all about you! your struggles and how you feel about everything now!? and Please feel free to add me! Hope to hear from you all

Oct 27th is coming up pretty fast, are you getting nervous?
do you have to do the Opti fast, or what kind of pre surgery diet will you be on .

Im Brandy, I had my surgery Sept 26th.

Yes I am ...I feel like I have so much to do! Right now they have me doing breakfast a protein shake, a midmorning snack, another protein shake, snack, then dinner. I do go to my pre op class tho on Monday so thats prob when they have me change but I am not sure.. How are you feeling from your surgery?

I'm really excited for you. Thanks for your reply to my "i need courage" post. I am so grateful to have found this site. One can feel SO alone out there in the "thin person" world.


I saw my ex with his new wife the other day, I have gained about 75 lb since I was with him. Wanted to crawl under the carpet from shame but hey, thats just extra incentive to do this thing and do it right.

Yes that is an extra incentive. My friend told me (because I was meeting some of my husbands childhood friends)to Let them see me as I am now because then I am going to blow them away when the new me comes about!...Girl we got this! Another thing too your right it can be lonely in this "thin" world. Living in Colorado so many thin people and very active...that will be us!

I had my surgery on 9/6.  I was pretty nervous up until the day came lol!  Though the day off I was extremely calm.  They send me home the same day and I had very little pain.  I'm thinking it was the On-Q pump they sent me home with.  I'm feeling pretty good so far!  I have my 2nd post op appt tomorrow. 

Just take it easy and go with the flow.  It will be here before you know it.
