Do we lose weight slower than the 20's?
What is your opinion on this?
I'm 33 and I'm hoping to lose 130ish pounds. I'm wondering if being older has an effect on how easily and quickly the weight will be lost. I know things will affect it like exercise and eating the right things, but I'm just wondering if I can be confident with a low goal weight.

I don't think age makes any difference in how fast we lose weight. I've lost a lot faster than some in their teens and their 20's.
Exercise won't make you lose weight any faster, but it will help your heart, lose skin, muscle tone, increase metabolism, etc.
Eating right, proper caloric intake, frequency of meals etc, can help too.
I had some complications after my surgery that prohibited me from working out, but I watched what I ate and how often. It's a delicate balance, but I think it varies for everyone.

I personally dont think it matters if your in your 30's versus 20's.
I think the biggest thing that helped me lose weight and inches was the working out. I highly recommend getting a trainer. They can really help motivate you, and develope a workout plan to help. Plus they can make sure you dont do the equipment the wrong way that might hurt you.
Also, got your support meetings. Goto any you can. Create a food journal online that you can share with people if you choose to. Create a workout journal as well. I love looking at mine and seeing how I am progressing. That is a big motivation for me.
And on a personal note. Stop thinking about the 130 pounds you are hoping to lose. Stop thinking about a goal weight. Start thinking about how much you are going to be able to with your friends and family. Think about all the compliments you are getting and will be getting. After a few No Scale Victories, you will forget about your goal weight. I have absolutely no idea what my goal weight is Supposed to be, but I know last night I was able to get into some size 42 Blue Jeans for the first time in 10+ years! :D That is what I am loving right now. `
