Anyone out there from Duluth, MN?

I am in the beginning stages of the process. I have seen the dietician twice and am very excited. I would like to join a support group or meet new people here who have gone or are going through the same journey.

I am from Minnesota also. I will be setting up my first appointment with the dietician tomorrow. I am not positive I will do the surgery yet - it really scares me. I keep hearing stories about things that go wrong. Hoping to get a positive vibe from these forums

I know there are a lot of stories of things that went wrong. You can ask questions on the forum for those who haven't had problems. Those people don't post as much. I have learned a lot from this website.

Hey - nice to see someone from Menahga - I live over near Perham but grew up in Park Rapids - actually lived just north of you in Hubbard!

I had the surgery on January 18th and am very happy to be one of those people who have had very little problems - I have lost over 70lbs since surgery - over 100lbs with my 6 weeks of Medically supervised pre-op protien shake diet.

If you ever need to talk to someone about your fears or anything - I certainly am willing to lend an ear!

I went into this with fears - but also told myself that I don't know if anything will go wrong, and I don't know how much can go right!! Might as well leave it to God!
