Hello All ! I am 4 1/2 months post op.  I have gone from 285 (my 1st appt.) and am down to 208lbs this morning. I am very proud of the weight loss. I could not ask for any more, however, over the last month or maybe longer ( I am not exactly sure) I have lost nothing.... I understand that we all hit plateau's but do they last that long? Is this it for me. 77lbs is a blessing but I still have quite a bit more to lose. The only difference I have noticed over the last month is I have been able to eat a little more. Nothing major though. Not enough to make me stop losing weight. Has anyone else experienced this?  Will it start back up again sometime soon?  I do know that I can not continue to lose the way I have  but the weight stopping !!! Come one advice and suggestions please... Thanks so much for anything anyone can inform me on.

Hi, just curious are you still doing excerise? Also, are you still taking in the fluids you are suppose to? I know of someone who stopped and hit a plateau, but they were still loosing inches and not lbs. So, that's why I am wondering.

For myself, I've had times during my 2 months out, that i hadn't eaten enough protein and the lbs didn't come off, but with excersing, the inches also still kept happening.

I hope you will start back up again, take care, keep in touch I'd love to hear how things go.

I think because you lost so much in the beginning your body is at a plateau.  The doc's told me your body plateau's because it's the body's way of protecting itself.  I hit a plateau at 5 months and did not lose for a month.
Just keep doing what you're doing and you will start losing again.

We did not have the same procedure but I hit my first stall at 3 weeks out which lasted between 3-4 weeks.

People will tell you drink your protein, liquid, take vitamins are you excersing more or less. You can be doing the exact same thing. You will start loosing when the body is ready to loose. I don't think this is it fore you I think maybe more like a test for you. A test in patience.

Good luck to you.
