feeling frustrated

Hello all i'm 7 days post-op and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. The runny stools are annoying and I can't tell if I'm hungry or not. The whole protein thing seems to be a challenge because I dont see how you can take in so much when your new stomach only holds a few ounces.  Everything grosses me out  does everything have to be chewable? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

At first don' t worry about the numbers.  Just figure out what you can tolerate, Ranch beans, eggs with chorrizo, string cheese were my staples for a while.  then you can expand what you eat as you can handle more.  Baby steps.

Chorizo? Really? How soon after surgery did you eat these things? What about constipation?

I had IBS before surgery and was one who went all the time.  The surgery has fixed that, now I am just regular.  I have not had any constipation.  Beans do have fiber and can help if you have issues with that.

First, I am not an egg person so the chorizzo covers the egg taste.  I was eating these things at a couple of weeks out.  When I was cleared for mushies.

Hey Christy,

Try not to stress about it because the more you think about it the harder it gets.

At 7 days out for me I was on Stage two diet with Dr. Sanchez. Have they put you on that diet yet?
As far as the protein goes I couldn't do all that protien either it will get easier as time gos on. Just try and drink as much water as possible (that was the hardest for me).

It will get eaiser for sure. Don't worry about buyers remose you did the right thing you will love the new you!!
