Hello!!
Hi all! My name is Ellen, I am 31, and I live in SE michigan. I have been married for over 8 years and I am a stay at home mother to one son that is six and a cat that I want to be my baby till I can have more real babies. I got RNY on 11/4, in hopes of losing weight, feeling good about myself and having more kids just to name a few. I really wish I had gotten the surgery when I was in my 20s but here I am nonetheless and still happy.
The biggest bummer for me lately has been that I haven't lost any weight in over a week. I started out a pretty big fatty at 365 and lost 30 pounds the first two weeks (not accounting for the water gain with that it was 40), then from that point I lost 5 more slowly over the week after that and now nada. I am keeping my spirits up thus far but I really want that scale to move. For the past few days I have been tracking everything I consume from food to water in hopes that will make a big difference and I kind of exercise. I get my ipod out and dance all day long. LOL
I look forward to meeting more people to share my experiences with!

Hi Ellen. Congrats on your surgery. I am John and I'm just about 8 weeks out from my VSG surgery.
This "30's board" is usually pretty dead, but I check in every now and then.
I understand about the frustration when the scale doesn't move. (Especially frustrating when it moves so fast at first). I'm sure your persistence will pay off.
Best of luck to you and feel free to contact me if you like.

Hi Ellen.
I had my surgery on the 27th of October and had stalled for 2 1/2 weeks a month out! So, don't fret. It will happen to all of us and then when your body adjusts, you will begin to lose weight again. Be sure to get all your liquids in and try to consume 70-100 grams of protein. If you eat other stuff, that is fine as long as you get liquids and protein in first.
Congrats!
Rhonda
