Hi,

I've been lurking for awhile - but now I'm ready to really interact .

I'm 34, 5' 10.25" (my dream has always been to be 6', so that .25 is important =) ) woman who is currently 320 lbs. I made the decision earlier this year to pursue lap band surgery.

Right now I am at the very beginning of the process. I've been to a seminar and chosen a surgeon. Next steps are the psych eval and doing the 6 month medically supervised diet as required by my insurance.

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for all of your posts...they've really helped a lot.

Seminar attended: July 08

First meeting with surgeon and nutritionist: Sep 08

End of 6 month medically supervised diet period: Feb 09

Surgery date: TBD

Hi! I'm a 30 yr old woman who is 5' 11 and I weigh 483 lbs I currently have a surgery date for LAP RYN. Just wanted to say hi from one tall BBW to another. =)

Surgery date: Aug. 28, 2008. Start weight 489 - Current weight on March 29th 2009 368 - Goal weight 180
Have lost 145 pounds so far.
