Newbie-how's it goin?

Well i'm almost 30 *looks like a deer in the headlights*!! but i'm getting comfortable with it *grin*
So, i thought i'd head on over. I get the feeling i might fit in more here anyway!!

Hi Melissa! I'm new too but wanted to say congrats on your surgery! Seems like you are doing great!

oh i'm a little miserable *grin* but i guess i'm doin okay. nice to meet you! i guess us newbies can be all friendly with each other eh? so what surgery do you want and when?

I'll be having the RNY bypass hopefully soon.My BMI is close to at least 50 I'm 5 foot 11 and I weigh very close to 400 if not more by now. :( Depressing to think about it but I will be on the losing side soon! I can't wait! It's nice to meet you. And yeah nothing wrong with the newbies getting to know each other. LOL

*lol* nothing at all! well hopefully we'll meet some more regulars soon. I'm actually not quite 30something yet, but i felt out of place on the 20s board. i'm not saying im old at heart, but i'm just looking for more people i have stuff in common with!

LOL I know what you mean. I turned 30 in March. It was so hard for me. It's like I had a wake up call, OMG I'm 30 and I have a great family... Not that I didn't already know. It just kinda hit me that I havn't done everything that I planned on doing before I did turn 30. LOL But, hopefully with my surgery and getting all this weight off I can start back working on making all my dreams a reality.

of course you can! so the year marker moves up a little..hey at least with the surgery we'll have tools to help us get healthy long enough to enjoy whatever age we're at, right? right!!
that was my main reason, my mom had wls last september, and was cured of diabetes upon waking up from the sugery. like, EVERY one on her side of the family has diabetes, heart problems, eye problems, heck you name it, so i was a ticking time bomb. i really just wanted to be healthy and not be sick. i was also starting to get some weight releated issues of my own, so hopefully i'm on my way to feeling good soon! only thing next on my list is get out of debt ...then own a house..then maybe a new hybrid car or something *lol* my car sucks!!!
