Aetna Insurance ?

Those of you that had Aetna as your Insurance please tell me if you had any problems being approved or denied .

I had everything complete that they ask for and I was approved in 3 days, my partner in 1.5

I have Aetna and was appproved for my VSG on the first submission.

I have Aetna and was approved in 5 days (memorial day weekend).  So without the long weekend it may have taken 2!

That is really good to know as I am starting the 3 month "medically supervised diet" so that I can qualify, just wondered how long it would take once all the pre-requirements were met and we could begin..................that is awesome!

Does Aenta make you document a 3 month program?

3 month multidisciplinary pre op surgerical preparation

OR

6 month physician assisted diet

i had my bypass 5 yrs ago with Aetna. Be foe they approved me they required a few things. A letter from me..And 1 from my family Doctor.. after they recieved it the approval was like a week later

I have Aetna HMO and they are awsome.  No problems at all and from start to surgery date it was 6mo.  This was 1 year ago and my co workers with the same insurance are doing RNY so you should have no problems!
