sighs...  well it's there, that stack  of paperwork from my Dr to the Ins company. TODAY. i know i called the insurance company everyday for a week before i started this just to ask different poeple at different times on different days, if WLS was one of MY covered benefits. if so what where the rules. For  a week, THEY ALL said WLS is covered under your benefits and all you need is poof of Medical Ness. well, i've done that, but now that they have the papers i'm scared to death their going to deny me. That'll next week i'll log on to myuhc.com and see where they stamped it DENIED...   OMG this is nerve wracking!!

Oh girl, you are going to worry yourself sick. Rather than focus on the Insurance company, make a promise to yourself that if the worst happens you'll fight it tooth and nail because You are committed to being healthy and doing whatever it takes.  Get a good workout in every day between now and hearing from Ins that will help alleviate some of that stress and make you feel better about yourself. Nothing like getting that good ole seretonin pumping and getting your metabolism up to make you feel better. :) {{{Hugs}}} I'm sure everything will be just fine hon.

I know that it can be just nerve wracking waiting for the insurance companies. I think that we have the same health care provider. I know we are in different states so not sure if much is different. It took me 2 weeks to get my approval. I had to do a 3 month structured weight loss plan for my insurance to be approved.  Just  keep yourself busy and your mind off of it and this time will come around before you know it.  Wishing you all the best!!
God Bless, Angela

I could say relax but I know how hard that really is, I will offer you peace of mind. I called my ins and asked about wls surgery the morning after my seminar, I was told yes as long as medically nes. Well, I went into this on my own, no pcp nothing, went right to the surgeon and hardly had any medial history or diet history. I have sleep apnea which was discovered by my sleep study and did my psyche eval and went through six months supervised diet, submitted for approval Nov. 20th and was approved the 30th. So be calm and think positive and pray!!!

I felt the EXACT same way you did when I had my info submitted. I had to go through 6 mo supervised weightloss classes and was releived when they were done but was like, Man if I went through ALL that for them to say no I'm gonna be ticked! :) It will be fine, just try and relax. Julie
