Hey Yall!! Introduction

Hey Lovely 30's posters :) My name is Amadna and I am 32 and will be having WLS on 12/14. Im so excited! I thought I would swing on over to say hi and check out what other folks my age are doing.  Two strong motivators for me is my healthy (Obviously) and the dream to be a healthy and fit mother to my unborn kids. I'll be concieving after 18 months post op.. and can't wait to be a wonderful healthy role model to my children and family.   I love 80's music (Bon Jovi fan die hard!) and I have two wonderful Big Dogs named Maggie and Sophie.  I am married to a wonderful man and love of my life named Josh. We got married in January and in Mexico on the beach.. it was magical and true paradise! Let me know who's here, what's going on and anything good I should know since Im new in the neighborhood! Welcome to the board! Reading your post it looks as if we have a few things in common. I am also 32 yrs old and too will be having WLS 12/14. I can't wait for this day. I know it will be here before I know it but, I'm ready for this surgery.  I have one child who is 9 and I'm hoping that at least a year or so out I will be able to get pregnant. This is something that we have struggled with since our son.  Congrats on your marriage. How wonderful to have been married on the beach. I'm married and going on year number 9. It will be nine years in June.  Good Luck on your journey and keep us posted. 

December 14th sounds like a wonderful day for a re-birthday! Congratulations to you both! Welcome Amanda, it's good to meet you. I'm glad you posted an intro. It sounds like you have some wonderful plans for the future that include getting healthy. Congratulations on this awesome commitment to yourself. It's kind of quiet on this board, but I'd love to see more people around in their 30's posting. Maybe we can liven it up a little in here. :)

Hi, Amanda!  Nice to see you here!  There are a lot of nice people on this board - I think you'll like it here.  You have a lot in common with several people here.  I'm a year older, 33 (nearly 34), and am having my surgery 12/11.  It's great to see you have such a positive attitude with having children shortly after and being a positive role model.  I, too, want to be a better role model for Jackson (my 17 mo old son) so we have that in common, too.  

Holley is right, this board is sometimes quiet... let's stir it up a bit!  :)  

wooo hoooo let's hear it for 12/14! That's my date too!  Welcome to the 30's board! I've been posting and lurking on this site for the last several months.  I read as many blogs as I can to find out as much about the process as possible.  It's so incredible to have this site as a resource.  I also read as much as I can everywhere else I can (WLS for Dummies is a GREAT book)  and I even watched a lap RNY video I found on YouTube (I know, I know... I really can take this geeky thing to the Nth level ) Good luck on your journey and let's make room for us on the loser's bench too :)
