Does this ever happen to you?

I'm seeing RED!  I work in an office with several people. We cover shifts 24/7 so our hours are anything but normal.  We have to eat at our desks while working so it's very easy to be unhealthy while at work (and explains why I've gained 15 lbs in 3 yrs time)!   So everyone knows that I'm having surgery next month and I still have to drop 22 lbs.  A coworker of mine, a male, just had the surgery in June.  He's doing GREAT with it!  Everyone is so supportive of him (as we all should be) but I have one coworker who seems to try every way possible to get me to cheat and not lose the weight I need/have to lose before the surgery!   For instance, tonight I went to Walmart for salad fixin's for the two of us.  I asked if there was anything she needed and she wants me to buy her 'anything sweet'.  I'm sorry, I just wouldn't do that, especially when you KNOW someone is trying very hard to lose the weight.  Maybe I'm overreacting here... I probably am... I just don't understand why I'm not getting the same support as my coworker.  The only thing I can figure is that he's male, I'm female and the very ones trying to knock me off of the wagon are female.  Go figure... Anyway, I just needed to rant and see if anyone else is ever faced with these trials on this journey.

Rant all you like hon! That's really unsupportive and actually Rude given the situation. I would be pissed too! I have had some more joking instances similar to yours, but I'm pretty abrupt and dirrect, someone says, Hey Holley, don't you want a piece of my delicous home made chocolate pie, I just say Bite My Ass moron, and laugh about it. I wouldn't let her get to you, and anytime she's rude in that way, I'd call her on it. In your situation, I would have said something like.... "haha, too funny, I am NOT going near the sweets, would you like something healthy?" Or, "I'm not buying anything sweet for you when I can't have it, would you like to go instead?" In my opinion, she was disrespectful of you and you don't deserve to be treated that way. Even if she didn't intend for it to be disrespectful, you still  have the right to stand up for yourself and what you are doing.

She probably doesn't want the competition for the attention of your male coworkers.  ;-) And if she wants something sweet, get her raisins or something perhaps.
