Good Evening All, I am very new to this message board. Well, any message board really. I am no stranger to OH though. I have been a member of this site for several years now. I typically just read everyone's posts and tonight I've decided to say hi. My name is Wendy. I am married to Steven, who has RNY on March 20, 2007. He has lost 121 lbs and I can't wait to get there. I am also a mother to Kameron, 9, and Kendra 6. I am scheduled for surgery on October 2, 2007. I am so excited I can hardly wait. The next 3 weeks are going to move so slowly in anticipation of surgery. I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing our journey's.

Hi back!!!

I'm new to this forum. I usually post/lurk on the DS forum. Just wanted to say hi and good luck to both of you.

Congrats to your husband, Steven. He has done well! What an inspiration for you. I heard the wife should get WLS first because the husband almost always loses faster and it takes the wife longer to catch up. Prove em wrong, Wendy!!

I'm very excited for surgery. Hopefully I'll get my appeal sent off this week and get approved so I can actually schedule it.

Looks like you're doing great. How has surgery treated you?

Nope, no hiding :) :) I can only imagine the appeal process is trying. Lord knows so many of us have had to go through it. I was VERY lucky and did not have to deal with it - my process was fairly smooth. Hang tight! We're here for you!!! Surgery has been good to me. No complications. Little tummy acid problem in month one, but aside from that - NADA! Lucky duck. I'm def' in the stage that proves you have to work it. I'm getting the loss out of it based on what I put in it ;) It's a tool :)
