Hi ya all.. My name is Melanie and I had WLS on 7/16/07.... And so far.. it has been quit the ride.. I thought I had researched this out and new what I was getting into.. but I dont think I did! I know that this feeling of regret soon passes but man it sure does suck right now!! Is there anyone out there that truley regrets this surgery?? I need to know that this is not just a mistake but hormons and emotions!!! :) thanks for your help Melanie

Hello Melanie! Welcome! For approximately 3 weeks after surgery I felt 'disconnected' for lask of a better term. Sad'ish, weird'ish but mostly disconnected - like I didn't know where I fit. Cannot say much more other than it passed. I stayed focused on my program and being a good patient and it passed. Hang tight :) Stick close by us - we're fairly good company :D

Hi Melanie & welcome! Just like with anything, there is bound to be some "buyer's remorse" but I believe it passes with time...just stay the course! Good luck on your journey.
