Well, I am on the brink of being a member of the 40s group!  I will be 40 in August....  Not too terribly far off now!  I'm happy that I had my surgery when I did and that I didn't wait till I was into my 40s.  I don't know that I will avoid the need for plastic surgery, but it has to help to have the surgery as early as you are able, right?  I think that my tummy will be okay for the most part, but I will definitely need to do something for my butt and thighs! How did those of you who had your surgery in your earlier 30s do on skin rebound??  Any of you lucky enough to avoid plastics all together? Lea 410/275/175-195

I had no idea how my skin would rebound (or not) after surgery. I am certainly a new'ish one, so my findings are from a little over half way through my loss. I started at 384, 38 years old, never had kids. Was evenly fat with a emphasis on butt and thighs. My arms were Grandma sized bat wings and I knew I would have an issue there. Every thing else was unknown. Thus far, my tummy is shrinking up nicely and the ripples are minimal, vertical and nuzzle my navel. The bat wings continue to soar and yes, somewhat shrink - albeit SLIGHTLY. The butt is really soft, but pretty much where it is supposed to be located on real people, not a Playboy bunny. The thighs - ack. From hip to knee I'm a mess. I would say I'd stick with undergarments, but the bulging is ... nasty. My neck has a small gobble wobble. I'm not gung-ho on plastics, but I am starting a mental price list. My arms are given and I knew that from the start. My call on everything else will depend on how everything looks in clothes when I hit goal. That's my measure and I'm sticking to it :) Anybody else???
