I'm starting week four post surgery and my appetite has increased.  I'm freaking out a bit about Easter this upcoming Sunday. Those deviled eggs better not seduce me. Share some holiday tips for dealing with celebrations and family get togethers. -Jenn C in AZ

Planning is everything to me! Even before surgery, when I was serious about my food, I planned. What are they serving? What will you partake in? What are your requirements? (Protein, water, no fats, no sugar...you know what you need.) If you are able to know what is there and plan your requirements...have what you need and move on. Get the camera out. Visit with nieces and nephews. Get out of your comfort zone. Be the one to pick up the trash and do the dishes. Shift your focus and remember your goals! I am finding that not denying myself is helping. I know you are are a littler newer to this than I and I was REALLY careful in the begining...but if you want a nibble of a deviled egg, work in the calories and numbers and go for it. Everyone is different. Don't stress out. Remember, you are on a life long journey now. Plan for the future and then let it go :)
