This morning i took my 3 vitamin D pills and they had trouble going down.  I thought for sure they were going to come back up but they didn't.  But, for the rest of the morning i had trouble drinking my protein drink.  It hurt going down kind of like if I took to large a gulp prior to surgery.  Does this sound famililar?  Do you think one of the pills got lodged?

The pain is gone now and I am having no trouble getting anything down.

Part of me was scared and then part of me was happy that there was some evidence of the surgery!

I don't have any wise words from past experiences, but I would say be aware and take care :) Go easy on your throat and pouch for a few days. Hopefully someone will come along and give you some advice :)

Yes this sounds familiar to me.  But I'm glad that you're feeling better.  Sometimes things like that can give you a bit of a scare.  I remember the first time post op that I accidentally took a really big gulp of water, boy oh boy did that hurt going down and it was only water!!!!! Take care! Rachel

I'm sure you've heard this before, but for me, a pill splitter helps with the larger pills.  Sounds painful, what you went thru!!
