Hello 30's board!
I just found this board through someone's post on the main message board and thought i'd pop on it and give you a little info about me! I'm recently turned 38, i am pre-op, hoping to have my surgery either in May or June. I have just about completed my 7 month program through my health insurance's clinic. I have my profile pretty much up to date with the exception of what's happend in the past couple months. I went through 3 sleep studies for my sleep apnea, had my tonsils and uvula removed to help with the apnea as well (would never wish this on a living soul), i started my CPAP therapy this week, so far it's going slow, but i'll get used to it soon i hope! I have alot of the typical co-morbidities...Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, gerd, PCOS, obstructive sleep apnea, joint pain, high cholesterol, and severe neuropathy in my feet. Of all of these conditions, the one that i wish i could get rid of but unfortunately will be stuck with to some degree is the neuropathy...so very painful and i have it 24/7. Ok, i think i've rambled on enough for my first post. I hope to get to know some of you on here and hopefully share out stories! God Bless!!
Robin
Great to meet you Robin! Once you have the surgery and start losing the weight, you will find that several of those conditions will lessen. Hopefully even the neuropathy will ease up some with less weight on your feet. My mom has the same condition in her feet, but she is very thin, she has good days and bad days with it. But it was worse when she was heavier.
Good luck with everything!
Rachel
