Is there anyone that has the Adjustable Lap Band where they adjust your band with a saline solution in a bag? What are the results?

You should go over to the Lap Band forum. Thats where you'd find the most lap banders. I had the DS ...i'm sorry I can't help you. Scott

I have a lapband and I've lost 98 pounds in 13 months. You can email me if you have more questions or, like the previous poster said, you could visit the lapband forum. LOTS of experienced folks over there! Good luck-

98 lbs in 13 months!?! That is great! I am in the process of getting a band. One of my concerns is that I will lose so slowly that I may end up frustrated and discouraged. To what do you contribute your great success?

Ummmm.... I'm not a model WLS patient. LOL I just try to follow the rules as best I can while still living a normal life. I eat just about anything I like, just in much smaller quantities. The only thing I've really had to give up is the majority of carbs (bread, pasta, and tortillas, but I can still do a little rice and potatoes). I exercise regularly, eat protein first, take small bites and chew really well, get my regular followup (this is VERY important), and drink plenty of fluids. I wish you the best of luck!! Are you scheduled for surgery yet? Feel free to email me anytime! ~Tiffany
