Nother newbie here!

Hey Ya'll! My name is Kati and I am considering WLS. I have my initial consultation/start the process appoint on Monday and was hoping ya'll could give some advice on good questions to ask! Thanks a bunch!

Hi Kati and wecome! That is such an open question to ask, pre-op my only question was how fast can we get this done! I fortunately have never had any health issues, weight related or otherwise so I didn't have many pre op questions, plus like most others I read up on anything I could get my hands on regarding this surgary and spoke with people who had it done. As far as advise, have some patience with the insurance industry that is a real hassle, if you want to ask anything specific please feel free to email me. Again welcome.

Hey Kati; Welcome. The best thing to do is read lots of profiles. It will get you up to speed on the differences that exist between surgeons and you'll be able to find out your surgeon's protocol. Blessings, Jennifer

Hey Kati, Welcome to the board, my only advice would be to read read read....reserach is very important preop. It helps you get mentally prepared for post op life. I use to spend lots of time reading profiles, WLS books, etc. It helps you feel more comfortable with your decision, esp. when your going through the "why the hell did i do this to myself" phase that lots of us go through right after surgery.
