Hello everyone My first appointment went well last Thursdayl The doctor really didn't do much. We talked for a few minutes, he told me that I am a good candidate for weight loss surgery, etc. He told me to continue taking my vitamins, walk, and cut out all bread, rice, pasta, cake, etc. in order to shrink my liver. He did emphasize that I was not to gain any more weight, and actually I have lost 10 pounds - wasn't really trying, but I have cut a lot of things out and drinking the water helps sooooo much. So with that said, can anyone tell me what I should expect when I go for my psych eval? What types of questions can I expect? Thanks, Lysa

Lysa; Congrats on the first 10 lbs. gone and a successful appointment with your surgeon. I've been in therapy for the past 4 years, so I didn't have to do a special psych eval. I just had to have my therapist write a letter saying that I understood what I was getting into, I had realistic expectations of the outcome and was sane enough to be able to manage my follow-up care. Blessings, Jennifer

Okay, that wasn't that bad. I actually spent more time in the waiting room than I did with the doctor Nevertheless, the appointment went well and now I'm waiting to hear back from the doctors office. Things are moving along and progessing. Lysa
