New to the board.....

Hi everyone.. I am new to the board. My name is Joni, and I am 26 and married to ARNG soldier Matt and we have a beautiful little girl Mackenzie who is 15 months old. I have been thinking about WLS for a while now, but since my husband is being deployed in July for Kuwait we have TriCare, and now is the best time for my surgery (that way we can have another child when he gets home). I live in NW Arkansas, and I am having my surgery with Dr. J. Kellar, providing that all goes well. I am still in the preop testing phase. I have an appointment with the Dietician next week, and I am getting the 2D echo, sleep study, and abg's scheduled this week. ANd waiting for the psych to call me with appointment. The goal is we are trying to have the surgery done before DH leaves that way I can have his support. I look forward to getting to know you all!!! Joni (my myspace is www.myspace.com/roosmomma )

Hi Joni ! I'm a newby to this forum too! Welcome! Good luck on getting everything done for your surgery in time! My husband is a SSgt in the AF. Prayers for your Hubby's saftey! I started out with Tricare and ended up doing self pay. The waiting line was way too long here at Travis. Nice to meet cha! Krista
