Did u tell ppl about ur surgery?

Well things are starting to move along nicely. I have decided for sure that i am going to go thru with th surgery. It's all starting to seem so real now and now my issue is, I am excited and nervous about this whole process and this is somthing huge in my life and i want to share my feelings with people but am afraid of their reaction. i know a lot of people arent educated about the surgery and have no idea what it's like to be overweight and some comments can be said out of ignorance. And i know that some of my friends might be hurt if i excluded them. So my question to all of you is: Did you tell a lot of people about this surgery? If you did do you regret saying anything? Do you wish would have been more open with it?
